Spring Has Sprung!

Spring has finally arrived! You wouldn't know it by the temperature in the air but the flowers are popping out of the ground and that makes me happy.

A lot has happened in two weeks. We traveled to Tennessee and we found a house! It was not an easy process. The first 5 houses were very disappointing. However, during the hunt on Saturday, two houses popped up on the west side of Knoxville, somewhere where we weren't even looking. So we drove that way and immediately had the realtor book appointments for Sunday. The first house was nice and it would have worked out but the second house was exactly what I was looking for. Space inside and out and a newer home for Mark (he is not fond of our 100 year old home that we currently reside in). We put in a bid at Noon and by 12:30 p.m. we were in a bidding war for our dream home. We jumped through every hoop to get it and at 7 p.m. we got the call that our offer was accepted. We celebrated with Moonshine! Who wouldn't in Tennessee. :)

We traveled home to unpack, do laundry and repack for our trip to Arizona to see the kids. It was a bit chilly in Arizona for this time of year but we enjoyed the kids and grandsons. We went to the Aquarium, hiking, to the zoo and had some nice meals and conversations with the kids. During that trip, we worked through our loan application, which was stressful and added a bit of stress to the weekend but on Thursday we received the good news that the loan was approved and everything was moving forward!

Now to really begin packing and clearing out our current house. We expect to be totally moved in by the middle of May. All I can do is dream about the possibilities our new home will bring! I can't wait to be outdoors and we have a state park within minutes of our house along with a racetrack! Just Heaven!
